UN Releases World Digital Library
United Nations (UN) released the World Digital Library (WDL), a site of historical documentation of many of the world. Hopefully, this site useful knowledge for students, educators, and of course the internet users in general.
Content is displayed is very diverse and full of historical value. Of them, such as historical books, ancient maps, recordings and other artefacts which an invaluable price.
WDL making the goal to increase the volume and content of cultural variations on the internet at the same time curtail digital chasm between the countries. WDL is available in several languages including English, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
Content is in the contributions from various renowned institutions all over the world. In particular, the UN cultural agency UNESCO responsible for the content in the WDL.
